Fake Netflix messages try to get your card, bank details or Netflix password. Netflix says it never asks for these by text or email, or for payment through another website.

How to report a Netflix scam

  • Forward the email or text, or send the fake website, app or phone number: [email protected]

Then get the fake site taken down: report the phishing link.

What Netflix says

  • Netflix says it will never ask you to share card numbers, bank account details or your Netflix password in a text or email.
  • Netflix says it will never ask for payment through a third party vendor or website.
  • Netflix says an email or text asking for your account email, phone, password or payment method probably did not come from Netflix.
  • Netflix says to send fake websites, apps or phone numbers pretending to be Netflix to [email protected].
