How to report a phishing site to Google Safe Browsing

Reporting to Google Safe Browsing, step by step

1. Open the Report a Page to Google Safe Browsing form. For Report Type pick "This page is not safe".
2. For Threat Type pick "Social Engineering" for phishing or scam pages (the other choices are Malware and Unwanted Software).
3. Then pick a Threat Category. The choices include Bank / Financial Phishing, Crypto Exchange Phishing, Social Media Platform Phishing, Retail Phishing, Email Provider Phishing, Government Agency Phishing, Package Tracking Scam, Fake Support Scam, Government Fines Scam, Fake Prize/Giveaway Scam, Other Phishing and Other Scam.
4. Paste the URL and add details in the Additional details box (up to 800 characters). The form loaded without signing in.

What Google Safe Browsing asks you to include

• The URL to report.
• Optional additional details, up to 800 characters.

What happens after you report

• Google says the report goes to the Safe Browsing team.
• Google says it will use what you submit to protect Google products, infrastructure and users, and may update the site's status in its Transparency Report and share the URL and its status with third parties.
• Google says some account and system information is sent to Google with the report.
• Google says Chrome and other browsers use Safe Browsing to show a warning before people visit a dangerous site, and that Search and Gmail also show warnings.
