To report a phishing or scam site to GName, email [email protected] or use GName's online reporting system (phishing is under illegal activities).

Domain registrar: can suspend the domain name itself.

How to reach them

  • Include the full URL, not just the domain.
  • Attach a screenshot and the date/time you saw it.
  • State plainly that it is phishing or fraud, and what it impersonates.

Reporting to GName, step by step

  1. Gname says the easiest and fastest way to report is its Online Reporting System at gname.com/abuse. Email [email protected] if you have questions or trouble using it.
  2. For a phishing or fake site, choose "Illegal Activities", then pick the type "Set up phishing and fraud site" or "Set up fake site".
  3. The form checks your contact email with a verification code. Gname does not say an account is needed.
  4. You can check progress later with your case number and contact email in the form's Inquiry System.

What GName asks you to include

  • Gname lists the required evidence for phishing and fraud sites as: the abusive domains, a webpage screenshot, and a report description.
  • The form takes up to 15 screenshots (JPG or PNG, 2 MB each) and up to 8 more evidence files (JPG, PNG or PDF; images up to 2 MB, files up to 10 MB).
  • Optional: the URL of the real brand being copied. You must give your name and contact email.
  • Gname says everything you submit must be true and valid, and you are legally and financially responsible for false complaints.

What happens after you report

  • Gname says it notifies the complainant of the result once the report is processed.
  • Gname says it reviews a report within 3 working days and acts on the findings within 2 working days after that, emailing you at each step.
