How to report a phishing site to DigitalOcean

How to reach them

• Choose the abuse type in the form

Reporting to DigitalOcean, step by step

1. DigitalOcean says the form goes to its SOC team. No sign-in is needed. Sign In and Create Ticket is only for help with your own account.
2. Under "Please select an abuse type" pick Phishing. The other choices include Spam, Spamvertisement, Malware, Botnet, DMCA Takedown, Trademark Infringement and Other Abuse.
3. For Phishing the required fields are email address, target of the phishing campaign, evidence URL, source IP, abuse date, abuse time and abuse timezone. Your name and a description are optional.
4. You must tick a box confirming that the information is true and accurate.

What DigitalOcean asks you to include

• Who the phishing campaign targets, for example the brand being copied.
• The evidence URL.
• The source IP address.
• The date, time and timezone of the abuse.
• An optional description or comment.

What happens after you report

• DigitalOcean says information relevant to fixing the problem is forwarded to the customer, without your full name and email.
